Morrisons has slashed prices on dozens of its large eggs to £1.99, including Cadbury, Rolo and Celebrations versions.

The chocolates usually sell for £3.25 so customers will be saving £1.26 on each purchase, nearly 40%.

One eagle-eyed shopper took to the Snack Reviews Facebook page earlier today where they shared details about the offer.

Their post has been liked dozens of times and received over 170 comments from consumers looking to grab one of the eggs.

One person joked: “I will have 10.”

A second shopper added: “Trip to Morrisons needed.”

And a third simply said: “Bargain.”

A Morrisons spokesperson said the offer is available both online and in-store.

But you’ll have to be quick as it finishes on March 7.

Plus, customers on the My Morrisons loyalty scheme can get medium sized eggs for £1 down from £1.50.

The deal for My Morrisons customers is running until Easter Sunday, April 9.

If you don’t know where your nearest Morrisons store is you can use the store locator on its website.

You can select from the A-Z list or enter your postcode to find your closest branch.

Of course, you should always check online whether you can get a product cheaper elsewhere.

Websites like trolley.co.uk let you compare thousands of supermarket items, but it does work off just online prices and not in-store.

We couldn’t find the large Easter eggs on sale at Morrisons cheaper anywhere else.

The Cadbury Crunchie Chocolate Easter Egg 190g is cheapest at Morrisons.

The next cheapest option is Asda where they cost £3, or you can bag four for £10. That’s £2.50 per snack.

Meanwhile, the Yorkie Large Egg 242g is cheapest at Morrisons.

Again, you can buy one at Asda for £3 or four for £10. Iceland is also stocking the egg for £4 or three for £8.

So if you took up the Iceland offer you’d be paying £2.66 per egg.

The Celebrations Large Easter Egg 220g is cheapest at Morrisons. Asda is next cheapest where it’s £3.

What is My Morrisons?
