SHOPPERS are rushing to a supermarket giant to get hold of bargain Fairy dishwasher tablets.
Sainsbury’s has slashed the price of Fairy Platinum Plus dishwasher tablets and shoppers are thrilled.
Dishwasher tablets are pricier but easier to use alternative to powder.
Shoppers can expect to pay between £1.34 and £36 according to data on the supermarket price comparison website Trolley.co.uk.
But shoppers have discovered that Sainsbury’s is slashing the price of Fairy – which normally cost more than supermarket own-label versions.
Posting on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, one shopper said: “Fairy Platinum Plus all-in-one dishwasher tablets, 51 per pack. Normally £12.00 each. Scanning at Sainsbury’s for £3.00 each.”
In response, another shopper said: “That’s a great bargain for you, I must go and look.”
“I did my shopping at Sainsbury’s yesterday, I wish that I’d checked this out,” said another.
According to the happy shoppers, the supermarket has cut the price of 51 tablet packs to £3 – down from three.
But it’s also cut the prices of larger packs of tablets, according to shoppers.

One shopper said they got a pack containing 100 tablets for £6 – down from £12.
And smaller pouches have also seen their prices cut.
“We managed to get some 37 pod packs for £2.50 each, perfect timing as we needed to restock,” said another happy shopper.
But, the discounts are only available in-store and shoppers will need to be quick while stocks last.
Sainsbury’s has slashed the prices of selected dishwasher tablets online but they’re not as competitive as the deals we’ve seen in stores.
You can find your closest Sainsbury’s using the store locator tool on its website.
You should always have a quick shop around first as you might be able to find a similar product cheaper elsewhere.
Prices vary by brand, size and retailer so it’s worth having a browse elsewhere before you make a decision.
Use price comparison tools like Google Shopping to find similar products from other retailers and compare prices.
The cheapest pack we’ve seen costs just £1.34 at Asda.
Shoppers can get 30 dishwasher tablets under the supermarket’s Just Essentials brand.
Always remember that these bargains are only a good deal if you need dishwasher tablets in the first place – if you get it just because of the offer, you aren’t necessarily saving money.
