SHOPPERS have been rushing to Asda to buy a household gadget that has been scanning at the till for 50% off.
The supermarket giant has reduced the price of a vacuum cleaner.

Online, the Beldray swivel vacuum is going for £80 but one shopper said they got it for just £44 when they took it to the till.
Posting in Facebook’s Extreme Couponing & Bargains group, the happy customer said: “Was desperate for a new hoover, gave this a try as our last one from Asda lasted nearly 4 years!
“£80 online, scanned £44 Asda.
“Picked up a whole tank of cat hair just from our living room carpet!”
One person commented: “I have this hoover and absolutely love it – it’s not heavy but sometimes need to give it a really good push to get it going when on carpet…”
However, some people weren’t impressed with the quality of the hoover.
One commented: “I have this, it barely picks up anymore.”
Another said: “Have got this hoover, started off really good, now power cuts out.”

Meanwhile, Sainsbury’s revamped the Nectar loyalty scheme in 2019 to also offer personalised discounts.
Customers can see the deals on the website or app each week, and then collect the extra points if they buy the item in store or online.
