The new treats are described as “Milk chocolates with a soft cookie dough flavour filling and a crisp biscuit centre.”

The news was shared on the @treatsinstore Instagram page.

The account admin said: “I’m not sure where the ‘ice cream’ part comes in, but they are tasty and moreish though.”

“The filling is sweet, with vanilla-like flavour and yes, it does a good enough job of tasting like cookie dough.

“It’s dense and chewy with a good contrast against the crunchy biscuit. The milk chocolate coating is standard Nestlé fayre.”

“Definitely worth a try if you’re a Munchies fan.”

Shoppers say you can nab a 97g bag of these in Asda for £1.35 in stores but the price is listed at £1.50 online.

You can use the Asda store locator to find your nearest branch but bear in mind prices may vary from store to store.

At the moment Asda is the only supermarket stocking chocolates but you will also be able to find them through online confectioners, though they will charge more.

Sweet Sensations Online is selling them for £3 and this doesn’t include shipping costs.

The news comes just days after Nestle axed not one, but two iconic chocolate biscuit bars after 50 years.

The chocolatier is discontinuing both Breakaway and Yorkie biscuit bars following a decline in sales in a blow for sweet-toothed fans.

Many fans are still mourning the loss of the Caramac chocolate bar which has also been axed after 60 years.

However, Nestle have been doing their best to keep fans occupied with the new Aero Choco Hazelnut bar which has been spotted on shop shelves.

Where can you buy discontinued chocolate bars?

Here’s where you can pick up the Breakaway, Caramac, Milky Way Crispy Rolls and Yorkie bars.
