If you want to snap one of the devices up, it’s worth calling your local B&M branch to see if they have any in stock and at the same 10p price.

You can find your nearest store by using the retailer’s shop locator tool on its website.

Always remember too, to check how the same product compares in terms of price when up against other retailers.

The last thing you want to do is buy something which you think is a bargain that turns out to be on sale for less elsewhere.

You can use websites like Price Runner and Price Spy to compare thousands of products.

Meanwhile, the Google Product tab is a quick way to scan the internet to see if you can find a product cheaper somewhere else too.

We had a quick look to see if any other retailers are selling the Plug ‘n’ Play any cheaper than 10p, but couldn’t find any.

Amazon is the only other place selling the console – for £31.

How to save money at B&M

One sure fire way to save money at your local B&M is to use its scanner app.

You can use it to find out if an item is cheaper that what’s printed on the label.

Products that are typically discounted are seasonal items and old stock B&M is trying to shift.

That, or items labelled “big brands” and “big savings”.
