SHAKEN shoppers keep getting shocks from trolleys at B&M stores.
The zaps are caused by static electricity building up in the metal trolley, with some speculating it is made worse by the type of flooring.
Judy Hanson, 64, got a “belter” of a jolt in Driffield, East Yorks.
She said: “I mentioned it at the checkout and the assistant said it happens loads of times.
“I’m going to use a basket from now on.”
Gina Weaver, 25, added: “I refuse to let my two children get in a trolley as they were getting shocked.”
Chef Carol Allison, 62, got zapped in Sheffield and said: “It’s not a pleasant shopping experience.”
Others posted on Facebook about their shocking experience at the shop.
Alisha May Tullock said: “This happens to me ever since they opened.”
And Kim Bettis added: “I was there yesterday and it was happening all round the store.”
B&M was contacted for comment.
