CHRISTMAS gifts and decorations seem to appear in the shops earlier every year – but B&M Bargains has started FOUR months early.
A bargain hunter was shocked to see scented candles, wrapping paper, and reed diffusers on the shelves this week.
The Christmas goods were spotted in Pwllheli, Wales earlier this week, NorthWalesLive reports.
Other shoppers have found similar across the country, with ‘Christmas Candy’ reed diffusers, wrapping paper, and festive candles seen on shelves.
Fans of the discount store took to Twitter to share the news.
One wrote: “Saw Christmas bits in B&M yesterday and I am so here for it. Best time of the year is almost upon us!”
Another said: “B&M are starting to get Christmas stuff out, Ma’am we are in July.”
But it’s not all Christmas cheer, with some complaining it’s just too early.
A disgruntled shopper said: “B&M putting their Christmas decorations out today has made me feel sick.”
Speaking to NorthWalesLive, one shopper said: “I know shops tend to start selling Christmas things a few months before, but this is the first time I’ve seen them do it at the beginning of August.”
“A lot of people do like to start buying early and spread the cost which does make sense with gifts, but having festive candles and other merchandise on sale now just seems ridiculous.”
A B&M spokesperson said: “We know our customers may want to spread the cost of Christmas and some start preparing early.
“So we’ve just launched some great Christmas gifts into stores across the UK but keep your eyes peeled for our brand new range of decorations and even more gifts launching very soon.”
But shoppers will have to head down to the stores to grab the festive bargains, as the goods aren’t yet available online.
Their website states: “Ho! Ho!…oh…
“Unfortunately our Christmas Decorations aren’t available just yet.
“Please check back soon for our full range of Christmas Decorations, where you’ll find everything to turn your home into a winter wonderland.”
In previous years, B&M Bargains fans have spotted festive sweets on the shelves in August.
And it seems Christmas is in the air, as Glossybox have revealed their 2021 advent calendar.
