Operation aimed at Continuity IRA involved man named in connection with Omagh bombing

Seven leading Irish republican dissidents have been jailed for a combined total of 33 years following an MI5 bugging operation aimed at the Continuity IRA.

The seven CIRA hardline republicans include Patrick “Mooch” Blair, who was named in the House of Commons in 2002 as the man who built the bomb that caused the Omagh massacre – the largest single atrocity of Northern Ireland’s Troubles.
