GOOGLE Chrome users may have spotted that the Google Search logo is currently a pathway to the ‘Doodle Champion Island Games’.

The event involves several fun tasks and if you enjoy those you may want to try out some of Google’s hidden games that we’ve rounded up.

Google Chrome has a secret game that only works if you turn the internet off.

It’s nicknamed Dino Runner, and is an endless runner game that sees you sprinting and hopping over obstacles to earn a high score.

It’s designed to give phone and laptop users something to do when the WiFi is down.

First, you need to lose access to both WiFi and mobile internet. Turn off your internet on a computer, or switch to Airplane Mode on a phone.

Then load up Google Chrome and try to launch a website – which should fail.

You’ll then see a “No internet” page with a dinosaur at the top.

On a computer, simply press the space bar and the game will active.

Then slam the space bar to jump over obstacles to earn a higher score.

For mobile users, tap on the dinosaur with your finger – then tap the screen to make the dinosaur jump.

The highest possible score is 99,999 – but it’s a hard target to hit unless you’re a dedicated gamer.

Google Earth flight simulator

A hidden game on Google Earth let’s you try being a pilot.

You need to install Google Earth on a Mac, Windows, or Linux computer.

You can play with a joystick or a mouse and keyboard.

To try it out, open Google Earth and click on the Menu and then “Tools”.

Then click “Enter Flight Simulator”.

Atari Breakout

It involves breaking coloured blocks with a ball that you control with your space bar.

To play, type “Atari Breakout” into Google Search.

Pacman

Google Snake

Snake had a cult following back in the 90s and Google Chrome is a great way to keep playing the addictive game.

Just type in “play snake” to Google Search and the game will pop up.

Coinciding with the start of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, this new game is free and accessible to all.

Google has launched an interactive series of Doodle games based on events at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

The Doodle, which is called Doodle Champion Island Games, has seven mini-games created by Japanese animation company Studio 4°C.

Users can take part in the Olympic event-themed 16-bit games and contribute their scores to one of four teams.

Just click on the Doodle featured on the search page to launch the game.

In the games, Lucky the Calico Ninja Cat takes part in events such as table tennis, skateboarding, rugby, artistic swimming, climbing, and marathon running.

Each event has its own “Legendary Champion” to challenge from Japanese history.

There are also side quests that users can undertake on Champion Island.
