WASHINGTON—Senate Republicans said they wouldn’t show up for a crucial committee vote on President Biden’s nominees to the Federal Reserve over disagreement with Democrats on one of the candidates, threatening to delay the confirmation of all five picks, including Chairman Jerome Powell.

Hours before the Senate Banking Committee was set to vote on the nominees, Republicans said they would deny the panel a quorum needed for voting over concerns they had with Sarah Bloom Raskin, nominated to serve as vice chairwoman for bank supervision, after they asked Democrats to postpone her vote.
