SEGA has announced five new games that are launching for their iconic series.
While snippets were shown at The Game Awards 2023, people have been waiting for more details.
The clips were hazy as to exactly what games were being remade and whether the games were simple remakes or something completely new.
The five games revealed were Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio, Shinobi, Golden Axe, and Streets of Rage.
Crazy Taxi will be a whole new game in the series, promising a completely new style of driving with new cities too.
Jet Set Radio will also reportedly be a fresh new game, with an open world to skate around.
More in Gaming Releases
Previous entries had more closed-off levels, so this will be a fresh new take for the series.
Shinobi is a long-running series of games based on ninjas, and this will be a new entry.
Updated for the modern era, it will still have the ninja powers and upgrades like in other games from the series.
Golden Axe seems to be more of a remake from the old games, turning the 2D arcade classic into a 3D series.

Finally, Streets of Rage made a comeback in 2020, when Streets of Rage 4 made a splash.
However, this was made by French team Dotemu, and not by a team at Sega itself.
Streets of Rage Revolution will continue to be a side-scrolling beat ‘em up, but is a completely new game in the series.
It seems that the majority of these games are aimed to be reboots of their respective series, with completely new styles to modernise them.
We’ve only had small glimpses so far, but people are excited to see these classic series make a comeback.
