To find your nearest store and its opening hours, the best bet is to use Screwfix’s store locator.

It really is a good idea to check as the company’s website carries the following warning: “Some of our stores may be temporarily closed or open with reduced opening hours due to reasons out of our control.

“You can check the opening times of your local store on our Store Locator Page before travelling.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”

If your preferred location is not open for any reason, you can always shop online via the Screwfix website — 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

Will shops be closed over early May bank holiday?

Thousands of shops are set to close over the early May bank holiday.

This is to give staff more time to spend with their families and some well earned time off.

So people looking to plan a shopping trip over the long weekend should be sure to check when their favourite stores are open.

Despite operating hours changing over the bank holiday, you are still able to shop online as usual.

However, delivery times may vary.

The opening times of stores generally differ depending on the location and size of the store.

Public transport timings also change on bank holidays, so ensure you check the timetables to avoid any travel troubles.
