SAMSUNG is about to host a major gadget showcase where a new iPhone is unveiled.
The South Korean rival to Apple and Google regularly launches new smartphones in spring.

And the tech giant has now confirmed that a Samsung Unpacked event will take place in February.
There’s no exact date yet, but it means that a new phone is coming in next month.
Samsung president Dr TM Roh confirmed that a new mobile is on the way.
“At Unpacked in February 2022, we’ll introduce you to the most noteworthy S series device we’ve ever created,” he said in a teaser clip for the event.
Samsung is expected to launch a brand new Galaxy S device.
It’s rumoured as the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, and will be a powerful and premium device.

And Samsung is expected to include a built-in stylus with the phone – just like handsets in the recently-killed Galaxy Note range.
It’s teased as offering “the best and brightest photos and videos” ever captured with a phone.
This includes impressive low-light photography, apparently.
Samsung is also promising exception performance and unique features “that can’t be found elsewhere”.
“With every fresh evolution of Samsung Galaxy devices, we have introduced features that redefine the entire mobile category,” Samsung explained.
“And we’re about to rewrite the rules of industry once again.
“At Unpacked in February 2022, we’ll introduce you to the most noteworthy S series device we’ve ever created.
“The next generation of Galaxy S is here, bringing together the greatest experiences of our Samsung Galaxy into one ultimate device.”
Apple’s most recent round of iPhones launched in September last year.
The quartet of devices shipped with powerful custom Apple A15 Bionic processors, cameras with improved low-light performance,
And Apple is tipped to launch a cheaper new iPhone SE 3 that undercuts high-end devices in April or May this year.
We likely won’t see Apple’s next big-hitter device until September 2022.
