Chief executive Sam Bazini said it had a strong final quarter, with steady online growth and expansion in the US.

It was set up by Bazini and Eoin Macleod, its managing director, who started by selling make-up in London.

Warpaint floated on AIM in 2016, raising £23million. Shares have rallied over 50 per cent in the last six months as it rides out spending pressures, selling products in stores like Wilko and Superdrug.

Its fortunes stand in stark contrast to rival Revolution Beauty, whose shares suspended in September following accounting concerns.
