VALENTINE’S Day is fast approaching and Sainsbury’s shoppers can celebrate with a £15 meal deal.

The special dine-in deal for two includes a starter, main meal, side dish, dessert and a drink.

Couples can treat themselves to the romantic special offer from February 7 to 14.

There is a choice of seven starters all from the supermarket’s Taste the Difference range.

Customers can choose from items including scallop gratin, leek and cheddar tart and fragrant vegetable bao buns.

Other items such as an antipasto platter and breaded camembert with cranberry are also on the menu.

For the main course, shoppers can choose from nine options including a Taste the Difference rump steak with butter, Scottish salmon encroute and a vegan plant-based wellington.

There are plenty of options for side dishes too with five to choose from including dauphinoise potatoes, triple cooked chips and cauliflower cheese.

To finish, loved-up diners have eight desserts to choose from including white chocolate mousse rose, raspberry and choc torte and rhubarb and custard cheesecake slices.

Sainsbury’s is also offering a number of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to accompany the meal including Taste the Difference prosecco, a selection of Winemakers Collection wines and Stella Artois.

The non-alcoholic options include Shloer Celebration pink fizz, Bottlegreen sparkling press and Lucky Saint unfiltered lager.

All of these items at full price would come to £27.10 which is £12.10 more expensive than the Valentine’s Day meal deal.

It works out to an almost half-price deal which is a whopping saving and definitely one worth having.
