A RURAL home has gone on sale for more than £1million – and it looks like a classy version of the Teletubbies’ home.

The beautiful eco-friendly home is built to appear as though it emerges from under a hill.

The place definitely has a unique curb appeal, drawing comparisons to the likes of the Tubbytronic Superdome and The Shire’s Hobbit holes from The Lord of the Rings.

It is being marketed by estate agents Dacre, Son and Hartley and is advertised on Rightmove for £1,195,000. But you get quite a bit for your money.

With three bedrooms, stunning countryside surroundings and huge windows – making the interiors bright despite the fact the exterior is covered in grass – so there’s lots to like about it.

The eco-friendly bungalow also boasts a gated driveway, sizeable patio, and high-end appliances.

Located in the upmarket village of Burley in Wharfedale, near Bradford, West Yorkshire, the listing promises “fantastic views”.

“The property enjoys a high degree of privacy and yet has the advantage of sweeping grounds incorporating an expansive terrace, lawns and small areas of woodland,T reads the listing.

The home has been a hit online, with one commenter writing: “Wow now I could live there.T

Another wrote: “If I could afford it, I’d be buying this.”

Also Teletubby-like but less classy, a £45million lottery-winning couple wanted to turn a mansion into a futuristic home with four wings and a basement swimming pool before it was left to fall into ruin.

But the plans never got off the ground and the mansion has now been left in ruin.

The historic Rainbow House has now become a rat-infested magnet for drug addicts and a constant headache for police who have been called there at least a dozen times.

And even that’s not the end of the Tubbytronic Superdome, whe po-faced villagers tried to block plans for a the Teletubby-style house.

June Titterton-Fox says her new eco-home would be one of the most energy-efficient in Britain.

But angry locals reckon the county councillor is living in Laa-Laa land and the £400,000 property would be “a real blot on the landscape”.

Mrs Titterton-Fox wanted permission to build a three-bed home for her and husband Andy in Whitwell, Rutland.

The property, similar to the 1990s children’s telly show, would create its own water supply, waste would be recycled on-site and excess power sold back to the grid.
