ROBLOX went down unexpectedly today and users are worried that the outage will affect their Adopt Me login streak.
If you’ve been following our Roblox coverage and live blog, you’ll know that Roblox went down with no explanation over 16 hours ago.
While the Chipotle free burrito event was accused of being the cause, no official statement has been issued yet.
The official Roblox Twitter account has only just acknowledged that users are even having issues.
“We know you’re having issues using Roblox right now. We’re sorry and working hard to get things back to normal.”
However, because of the nature of Roblox, a huge number of experiences and games on the platform have been affected.
The metaverse is home to all kinds of user-made content, including the popular Adopt Me! by Uplift Games.
With 64 million players each month, the life sim is hugely popular. It rewards players for logging in daily.
But with the outage dragging on for so long and no idea when it’s going to end, players are worried their login steaks will be interrupted.
Given that it takes a little time and some dedication to build up, losing progress through no fault of your own is incredibly frustrating.
“Heheh just lost my 1 year #adoptme login streak because of a Chipotle roblox update?! So sad,” said one Twitter user.
“I don’t want to lose my 353 log in days in adopt me 🙁 if it takes longer than 2 days to fix, pls make that everyone keeps their log in streaks if its possible,” said another.

Happily, the devs have are working on something to ensure this doesn’t happen.
“We’re working on ways to stop players from losing their login streaks while Roblox is down, we’ll let you know more details when we can!” the official account tweeted.
“Please remember: we’re not Roblox! We’re not sure what went wrong, but we know their internal team is working hard on bringing things back,” it added, before warning:
“There might also be platform-wide issues with characters or pets once you’re in, please be patient until all server issues are fixed.”
Today’s Roblox outage has affected all players so hopefully the various developers will follow suit in similar sceanrios.
The good news is that Uplift Games is working hard to ensure you won’t lose your streak!
