According to Ring, you should charge your battery until the orange light disappears.

After this, the green light should be lit, which means your battery is fully charged and ready to be put back into the device.

So next time keep an eye out for it and don’t take it out when orange is still showing.

There are other ways you can boost your Ring doorbell’s battery of course.

One trick is to adjust the motion sensors if you’re getting too many alerts.

You could reduce the sensitivity so only movements closer to the camera are picked up by your Doorbell.

Consider switching on Privacy Zones, that way you can decide to cover a smaller area rather than everything the camera sees.

And change motion frequency to ‘Regularly’ or ‘Periodically’, as this will cut down on the amount of motion alerts you receive.

You could also prevent battery drain by buying the solar charging panel – which might cut down on bills as well.
