Prime Day is due to kick off next Tuesday (12 July), but Amazon has defied expectations by launching an early wave of device deals today.

We reckon even more will follow when the two-day event actually comes around, but Prime subscribers should take a look at these early-bird device discounts as there as a few gems already live.

The definite highlight is this cracking bundle deal which brings together two much-loved products: the 4th-generation Echo Dot speaker and the Ring video doorbell.

Bought separately at full price, these would normally cost you £139.98 but right now you can snap them up for an incredible £59.99 if you’re a Prime member.

The two gadgets, of course, make the perfect pairing: you can use the Echo Dot speaker as a two-way intercom for the doorbell, and you can even add pre-recorded ‘Quick Replies’.

The Ring doorbell also has a motion selector that will alert you when someone’s approaching – in other words, no more lurking around for your Deliveroo.

It’s not the only bundle deal we discovered online this morning: you can also pick up the Blink HD outdoor security camera with the Echo Show 5 for just £59.99, saving a colossal £109.99.

The screen-based Show 5 can relay the live camera feed from the Blink camera – and together they don’t need any professional installation.

You can be sure that there’s a whole load of incredible Amazon Prime Day deals on the way, and we’re sure even more of Amazon’s devices will see their prices slashed.

But if these early-bird offers take your fancy, our advice is to the snap them up while they’re available.

Just remember, you’ll need to sign up to Amazon Prime, which has a free 30-day trial period.
