TECH startup Rabbit has introduced a small AI-powered device to assist you with daily tasks.

Unveiled at CES 2024 earlier this week, r1 was introduced by Rabbit as an AI assistant.

Dubbed the r1, the gadget is orange, square-shaped, and can easily slip into your pocket.

It reportedly measures the size of a stack of Post-its with a 2.88-inch display screen.

To the right of the screen, there is an analog scroll wheel and a 360-degree camera called the “Rabbit Eye.”

There is also a push-to-talk button for giving the device seamless voice commands.

Perhaps most notable, the handheld device uses a new kind of AI model, the Large Action Model (LAM), developed by Rabbit.

LAM lets the r1 use apps like a human would thanks to its powerful learning capabilities.

It can assess order confirmations, navigate settings, and successfully use a search bar.

And if the device doesn’t know how to do something, there’s a tool that lets users teach it.

Rabbit says its model “can infer and model human actions on computer applications, perform the actions reliably and quickly, and is well-suited for deployment in various AI assistants and operating systems.”

Moreover, the device comes with its own 4G LTE SIM card slot, allowing you to add it to your data plan.

This allows users to do things like order a car, buy their groceries, and send messages.

If you don’t want to pay monthly for data, you can connect the device to Wi-Fi networks.

The device features a 2.3GHz MediaTek processor, 4GB of memory, and 128GB of storage.

Its battery life reportedly lasts all day, according to Rabbit, though it did not specify how many hours that translates to.

Pre-ordering is currently available for the $199 device and shipping will begin in late March.
