AN unusual cemetery gatehouse home with a bird’s eye view of the graveyard is up for grabs for £350,000.
The 163-year-old building at Louth town cemetery in Lincolnshire, has been converted into a quirky three bedroom home.

It has its own turret and viewing platform that gives views of the spooky location and the countryside beyond.
The building had fallen into a star of disrepair after being abandoned in for seven years before the current owners bought it and extensively renovated it.
Now the Grade II listed property is being sold by Crofts Estate Agents via OnTheMarket.
The redbrick structure sits on top of an arched gateway, which used to be the entrance to the main cemetery in the town.
Now the gate underneath leads to the driveway with off-road parking and the gardens, with the cemetery to the rear.
The unusual castellated turret holds the spiral staircase between the floors.
GRADE II LISTED
Dany (corr) Vere and his partner Catherine Overton, 46, moved into a caravan in the garden for 11 months while renovations to the derelict property were carried out.
Dany, 45, who makes a living as a landlord, said: “It was a bit grim – there was no fence when we arrived so we were just living in a graveyard in the middle of winter.
“The turret has got to be my favourite feature. You can climb up it and view out over Louth and at night you can see all the stars.
“The best thing is when you chat to somebody local and tell them what you’ve been able to do with the building – you get a great reaction because nobody wants it to be derelict.
“Everybody who comes loves it and makes positive comments. We have put it on the market because it’s booming at the moment so we thought we’d try it.”
On the first floor there is a lounge, kitchen/breakfast room and bathroom, and the floor above has three bedrooms.
From the second floor the spiral staircase leads up to a landing area with a fixed ladder providing access through a hatch and onto the roof of the turret for the best views.
At the front are two sloping banks planted with a variety of flower bulbs and at the rear the garden is over several different levels but mostly lawn.

None of the cemetery itself is included in the sale.
