A SHOPPER has spotted a “glitch” on the Argos app that lets customers add a PlayStation 5 to their basket ready for when they’re back in stock.
The sold out console was restocked at several stores this morning, including Very and Game, but were snapped up within minutes.

Customers also mobbed the Argos website in the early hours of the morning after the PS5s were made available.
Many shoppers complained that the retailer’s app was too slow. By the time they logged into the Argos website to add one to their basket it was too late.
Some customers are still bitter from attempts to buy the console from Argos earlier this week, which left them £450 out of pocket.
But one fan has revealed a hack to help gamers get their hands on the highly anticipated console when they’re next in stock online.
Twitter user @Ghostofkage187 explained that customers need to download the Argos app and add it to their basket once they’ve signed in.
It will then appear in their shopping basket when they log into their account on the retailer’s website, which many customers say is quicker than the app.
It means the console is already in your basket when the items drop, putting you one step ahead in the queue.
@Ghostofkage187 wrote on Twitter: “I would download the [Argos] app first, add the PS5 to your basket as you can’t on the website.
“Sign into the website and it will now be in your basket.
“Then when it goes live, buy on the website.”
He added: “I was lucky enough to get one. Everyone just be patient.”
One customer replied: “Thanks mate. Got it in basket on the app now. Wasn’t working earlier on. Pray for me.”
But the trick hasn’t worked for everyone. Allan said on Twitter: “Argos has now removed the add to basket on the app. They are out of stock.”
One suggestion is that the trick only works if the Argos branch you’re trying to order from still has them in stock.
Disappointingly though, Argos has confirmed on social media that it won’t be restocking PS5s again until next year.
It appears the console has sold out at all other retailers too. Bookmark our guide to when it will be back in stock at retailers including Game, Currys, Amazon and Very.
The Sun has contacted Argos for comment.
On Thursday, we reported how BT and EE had restocked the consoles but only for existing customers.
One bloke was forced to sell his brand new PS5 after he lied to his wife and told her it was an air purifier.
One chancer is offering to flog his console for £1MILLION on eBay.
