Facebook Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg said the company would extend its block on President Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts for at least two weeks.

Twitter Inc. said President Trump will regain the ability to use his personal account Thursday after a series of posts a day earlier about protests and violence in Washington were deemed to undermine the electoral process.

The social-media company Wednesday temporarily locked Mr. Trump’s account after removing three of his tweets from public viewing, saying they represented “repeated and severe violations” of its policies.
