POUNDLAND is making a massive change at dozens of stores this summer – and it’ll rival the likes of Iceland.
The discount chain will expand its frozen grocery rollout to 24 more stores starting from July 1 – here’s a full list.

Poundland first started testing selling frozen food including pizza, chips and ready-meals in 2019.
In 2020, it announced plans to roll out the concept to 60 more shops, and the range came to another 25 stores last September.
The types of food on offer have slowly been expanding too.
Popular items in the range so far have included products from brands such as Ginsters, Cathedral City, Lurpak, Sutherland sandwiches and Rustlers cheeseburgers.
Now, Poundland has announced it will be adding chilled and frozen food to 24 more stores this summer, bringing the total number of stores selling the range to 570 out of 850 across the UK.
The range will rival the likes of frozen food giant Iceland, as well as any supermarket with a chilled and frozen range.
Darren Kay, Poundland’s retail director said: “We’re quietly widening what we offer customers, day-by-day and store-by-store, because we know customers appreciate the convenience of shopping with Poundland for much more of what they need week-in, week-out.
“Whether it’s a Poundland on a high street, in a shopping centre or on a retail park, we’re investing in our stores, our ranges and our stores to make them real destinations for our customers –all with the amazing value we promise.”

- Barrow in Furness
- Farnham
- Falmouth
- Blackwood
- Leighton Buzzard
- Stonedale
The next group will offer the range from July 8:
- Lincoln
- Wellingborough
- Great Yarmouth
- Aylesbury
- Uttoxeter
- Erdington
The following will join from July 15:
- Wisbech
- Troon
- Minehead
- Welshpool
- Orpington
- Tamworth
And the last group will sell the range from July 22:
- Longton
- Bilston
- Hull
- Bath
- East Molesey
- Warrington
It’s all part of Poundland’s plans to become a “one-stop shop” as it continues adding other produce such as key fresh fruit and vegetables to stores.
Bananas, apples, carrots and soft fruit are already available in over 400 stores and will be also added to another 50 stores in July.
Locations are not yet confirmed.
In other news, The Sun visited one Poundland store in Nottingham and found it rivalled major supermarkets with a huge selection of products and food.
The chain also announced it was opening 50 new stores across the UK by the end of September.
The move will see up to 800 new jobs created, and stores will open in places including Glasgow, Birmingham and London.
And in March Poundland launched a price comparison against major retailers like Asda and Wilko.
Several branches had stuck up posters in stores highlighting the prices of everyday items compared to other shops.
The posters state how much shoppers can save on various products compared to a specific retailer, stating: “Like Asda, just cheaper”.
Each showed how big of a saving could be made, for example, one boasted a saving of £1.95 on a can of Heinz tomato soup, an 80-bag box of PG Tips, a packet of five Cadbury Brunch Bars and a bottle of HP sauce.
