Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is a 2019 release from Activision Blizzard – the developers behind the wildly popular Call of Duty franchise.

But gamers will have to be quick if they want it, as the offer ends at midnight on 27 November – just two days away.

The PEGI 18 title scored a whopping 90 out of 100 from critics and fans on Metacritic.

The veteran-level title is an “almost belligerent challenge” with “fierce difficulty,” according to The Telegraph.

And it’s worth it, according to players.

As the Daily star puts it: “Though Sekiro feels impossibly hard at times, the level of euphoria you experience when delivering a death blow to a tricky boss or when you finally clear a castle grounds of all enemies is almost unparalleled.”

It’s not just critics who love it, but regular combat gamers too.

One player on Metacritic called it the “perfect game”.

“Amazing level design, great story, and the best fighting mechanics I have ever experienced,” they added. “You must play this masterpiece.”

Another said: “Sekiro has my favourite combat system of any Souls game, as well as some of the best bosses.

“I’m a bit less impressed by the story and lore, but the combat more than makes up for it.”

Despite plenty of reviews regarding the game’s required skill level, a third player said the game was “balanced”, notheless.

“Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is a masterpiece in the world of samurai and shinobi games,” they wrote.

“The world, enemies, and bosses are among the toughest you’ll face, but the game is balanced, making victories satisfying.

“While you only wield a single sword, the prosthetic tools provide variety and excitement.

“Sekiro is a 10/10 experience that delivers a perfect blend of challenge and reward, making it a must-play for gamers.”
