HELLDIVERS 2 is the latest PlayStation console exclusive, and the shooter has taken gamers by storm.
You can play alone or with your friends, blasting down aliens and completing missions.

However, it’s not an easy game to pick up, and it might be some time before you get to grips with it.
If you want to kickstart your adventure in PlayStation’s Helldivers 2, here are the tips you need to know.
How to aim – Helldivers 2
The dot in the centre of the screen isn’t actually where you are aiming, instead it’s the circle that floats around it.
Helldivers’ weapons have different turn speeds and recoil, but your view doesn’t change, only the aiming circle.

Heavier weapons will make this more unstable as you move, so if you are using these, stand still for the best accuracy.
When to reload – Helldivers 2
Like in real life, when you reload your weapon, you will discard the rest of the ammo in your clip.
In most shooters this doesn’t happen and you will see people reload every chance they get.
If you are using a lighter weapon you will usually only reload after you have exhausted all of your ammo.

However, heavier weapons take some time to reload, so you can sacrifice some ammo if you find a good time to reload.
Healing injuries – Helldivers 2
Like in Fallout, your limbs can take damage in Helldivers 2 and this can slow you down significantly.
This is the easiest way to die as the bugs will soon swarm around you and overwhelm you.
To avoid this, stay clear of explosives and make sure you have Stims ready to speed you up.
How to redeploy your friends – Helldivers 2
When your friend dies, you can immediately redeploy them in order to get back into the game.
They don’t have to redeploy them in the same spot, so make sure you choose a safe space to bring them back in.
How to help you team – Helldivers 2
There are a number of ways that you can help your friends even if you’re playing without voice chat.
You can use pings on the map to show items and locations that you want to head to.
There are voice and text chat options, but the ping system works really well if you’re playing with people who speak a different language.
