AWARD season is almost here, and everyone is eagerly awaiting what will win the Game of the Year.
One series has consistently picked up prizes at The Game Awards, and is always one of the best-selling games in the UK.

However, we don’t expect this year’s entry to win any awards as fans and critics alike have torn the game to shreds.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is the lowest-rated game in the entire history of the long-standing series.
It has a score of 50 on review aggregate site Metacritic, with the most generous review giving it a 7/10.
CoD: MW3 has been panned for its lack of content, seeming to players like a DLC pack at a premium price.

It’s been called an “all-around disappointment”, offering no improvements over Modern Warfare 2, which released last year.
However, the players have been more vicious than the critics as it has scored 1.4/10 with users.
This is marked as ‘Overwhelming Dislike’ and is one of the lowest-ranked games of the year among gamers.
Searches on Google for phrases like ‘How to refund Call of Duty’ have skyrocketed following the game’s release.

This dislike for the latest Call of Duty game, seems to have flowed over into sales for the game.
Physical copies of MW3 are reportedly 25% lower than MW2’s sales were in the same time frame.
While physical game sales drop year on year, a 25% decrease is still much larger than usual.
