THE manufacturer of Pepsi has made a huge change to its drinks – and it could make it taste different.
PepsiCo has confirmed that its classic fizzy drinks now have 57 per cent less sugar in them.

The classic Pepsi, which comes in a blue can, will now have 4.55g of sugar per 100ml.
This will replace all previous classic Pepsi drinks.
Diet Pepsi and Pepsi Max have not changed.
A two-litre bottle will now have 91g of sugar, reduced from 213g.
A 500ml bottle now contains 22.75g, down from 53.25g.
A 330ml did have 36g of sugar but this has been reduced to 15g.
The Pepsi drinks will also include updated nutritional information on the packaging to show how much sugar is in each drink.
Anyone wanting to buy the popular soda is advised to check the labels as there could be old and new versions on sale in shops for a time as the new products are rolled out to stores.

The new formula only applies to Pepsi drinks sold in supermarkets and retail outlets.
PepsiCo has confirmed that venues such as pubs and restaurants will continue to serve the original product which contains 10.65g of sugar per 100ml for the time being.
The new formula contains 59 calories per 330ml serving, equivalent to a single can.
Regarding the taste, Pepsi said on its website: “We have worked hard to make sure our new classic Pepsi maintains the great taste that people expect while removing sugar and calories.”
In addition to a lower amount of sugar, the reformulated Pepsi is sweetened with a blend of acesulfame potassium (Ace K) and sucralose, with 56 per cent fewer calories from added sugars.
Last Christmas, Pepsi brought out a limited edition festive flavour.
Pepsi said the new drink gave “its classic cola taste credentials a spicy twist” – thanks to the addition of nutmeg.
Pepsi Nitro became the first-ever nitrogen-infused cola drink available on the market.
Pepsi also launched a limited-edition salted caramel-flavoured cola back in December 2017 – but only for US shoppers.
