According to experts, the reboot hack can resolve common issues that slow routers down and bring you back to fast speeds.

According to CNET, suffering Wi-Fi users could benefit from “power cycling.”

The outlet said: “Try power cycling the router if your Wi-Fi is at a crawl or use a Wi-Fi analyzer tool to check for the best channel and then set it manually using your router’s admin portal.”

Power cycling involves unplugging your router from all devices and power sources.

Some experts consider this to be a much better reboot method then just pushing the reboot button.

You’ll need to wait at least 15 seconds or more before plugging it back in.

According to Digitial Trends, you should be waiting for a whole minute.

This helps to ensure the electrical circuit inside the device has had time to stop.

Then, plug the router back into a power source but don’t turn the router back on yet.
