The artificial intelligence (AI) assistant can do plenty of things: Read poetry, share riddles, and even tell dad jokes.

When compared to other AI platforms like OpenAI’s ChatGPT, though, Siri falls rather short.

OpenAI’s ChatGPT is an advanced chatbot that can generate responses in natural language to prompts.

It can complete many tasks in seconds, including writing essays, poems, and even complex code.

Users can even have a full-blown conversation with ChatGPT in a way that Siri can’t yet emulate.

But now, thanks to Apple’s Shortcuts app, iPhone users can install ChatGPT and use it – with Siri’s help.

How to use ChatGPT on your iPhone

To make the shortcut work, users will need to first create an OpenAI account and then get an API key from OpenAI’s website.

Next, you need to download the ChatGPT shortcut directly onto your iPhone – you can find it here.

This link will open the Shortcuts app on your iPhone and prompt you and to set it up.

All you need to do is paste your OpenAI API key into the text field and then tap Add Shortcut.

From here, you choose your shortcut phrase such as “Hey Siri, ChatGPT.”

Saying this phrase will not pop ChatGPT up on your iPhone’s home screen where you can ask it prompts.
