People are just realizing ‘Google button’ on Android phones gives you extra battery life – one tap delivers free charge

ANDROID users have been informed about a battery hack that can provide their devices with more juice.

It can be very frustrating to find your device is low on battery – especially when you’re out and about.

However, thanks to Android software, Pixel phones have a hidden setting that gives them more charge.

The tool is called Battery Saver, and when it’s enabled it conserves your device’s battery power.

If you turn this feature on, it will automatically activate when your phone’s battery gets low.

However, you can also turn Battery Saver on manually whenever you want.

To save even more power on your Pixel 3 or later phone, Google recommends you turn on Extreme Battery Saver.

“Extreme Battery Saver lets Battery Saver turn off more features, pause most apps, and slow processing for even more time between charges,” Google explained on its website.

Enable Battery Saver

To turn Battery Saver on or off, swipe down from the top of your screen and tap Battery Saver.

If you want to have Battery Saver turn on automatically, go to Settings > Battery.

From there, tap on Battery Saver and then select Set a Schedule. 

Pick a setting to decide when Battery Saver should turn on.

These options include “No schedule,” “Based on your routine,” and “Based on Percentage.”

You can also choose to have Battery Saver turn off automatically when your phone’s battery reaches 90 percent.

To do this, open your phone’s Settings app and then tap Battery.

Then, select Battery Saver and toggle Turn off when charged.
