GOING to the panto is all about getting involved . . . but there might be more booing than cheering about the price.

Tickets can be costly, especially if you take the whole family. But there are ways to see a show for less.

Think you can’t afford to take the little ones to watch the likes of Cinderella, Snow White or Sleeping Beauty?

Oh yes you can . . .

WE ARE FAMILY: Check if there are savings to be made buying a family ticket.

For example, with the “family saver” ticket to see Brian Conley in Cinderella at Southend, Essex, you get two full-price tickets and two concession tickets with a healthy saving on individual prices.

GO AS A GROUP: Most theatres offer discounts for groups of eight or more. You could get up to 50 per cent off. Be sure to book ahead.

CASH IN ON CASHBACK: You can get up to 15 per cent cashback if you get tickets through Groupon via topcashback.co.uk.

LOOK FOR CONCESSIONS: Many theatres offer age-related discounts. At the Grand Theatre in Blackpool, where Snow White, pictured, is showing, Sunday matinee tickets are £20.50. But they are £18.50 for under-18s and over-65s.

TAKE YOUR OWN SNACKS: Avoid unnecessary spending on food and drinks at the venue by stocking up in advance.

WEST END WINDS: Check out ticket platforms for cut-price deals.

Seatplan.com is offering tickets to Pantoland at The Palladium in London, featuring Donny Osmond and Julian Clary, starting from just £30.

BRING THE PANTO HOME: Opt for an online adventure instead. Puss In Moon Boots, a new interactive film from Sleeping Trees, is fun for all the family — and you can stream it for a month for £5.
