The tip was posted to a popular Reddit forum called r/samsung.

It has over 340,000 members and is a place to post tips and tricks as well as discussing Samsung news.

“What is Your Experience with the ‘Light’ Performance Profile on the S23 Ultra or Fold 4?

“How much did your battery life improve and did your phone performance decrease with normal day to day use?,” one user of the forum asked.

“On my S23U…..10%-15% battery savings with no impact to performance.

“I have a bixby routine to disable light mode when gaming, otherwise it stays on,” one Samsung user replied.

“Gives 10-15% more battery. u cant notice it in daily use. auto turns off when gaming..great stuff!” another said.

“I’ve had my 223 Ultra for a few days and use Light Performance Profile. I can usually go a whole day (6:30 am to 10:30 pm) and still have about 50-53% battery left.

It also doesn’t feel any less responsive than my Fold 3 did,” another wrote.

To use Light Mode on your Galaxy device you first need to head to your Settings.

Samsung reveals two mega budget Android phones with a major premium upgrade and battery that ‘lasts two days’

Next, click on Battery and then scroll down to click More.

You then need to click on your Performance profile and then tap on Light.

The mode should then be turned on and if you don’t like it you can turn it off via the same method.

Not all Samsung devices have this mode so you may have to search for a similar battery saving setting for your specific phone.
