A MAN who’s newbuild home collapsed without warning while he was on holiday is now fighting “tooth and nail” for answers.
Scott Ferney was luckily not at the property in Pembrokeshire, Wales, when part of it buckled during Storm Agnes this week.

The side of the wall was left in shatters on the driveway when strong winds and rain battered the country – forcing the fire brigade to attend to secure the area.
However, the newly-built home was only completed three years ago and should have been able to withstand extreme UK weather.
And it’s not the only one that has fallen apart.
One resident told how a nearby property also had its porch collapse “out of the blue”.

The failure of the houses remain unknown with local authorities launching investigations to find out what the cause is.
What’s been described as a potential “fatality” if anyone was home, councillor Rhys Jordan is now demanding answers from Mill Bay Homes.
Writing to residents, he said: “I must inform you that there has been an incident on the estate involving a section of property collapsing.
“Fortunately no one has been hurt in this incident.

“The fire brigade has promptly attended the scene and ensured the area is safe.
“Further investigation into this incident will commence as soon as the ongoing storm subsides.
“At this moment, the cause of the property failure is unknown.
“It is imperative that you all feel safe and secure in your homes and I assure you that your concerns will be voiced and addressed.”
A spokesman for Mill Bay Homes said: “We have been made aware of an incident at a property in New Hedges involving damage to a gable end wall.
“It’s our understanding that no one was hurt in the incident and that the area was made safe by the fire brigade.
“The homeowner has been advised to contact their Structural Warrantors and Building Insurers in the first instance who, where appropriate, will involve others to assist their investigations into causes and remedies.
“We will obviously fully assist these investigations.”
