Not only will it see a reduction in price, but it will also be coming to a new platform.

When Steam released its most-played games of 2022, there was a shocking pattern among the biggest games.

Over half were free-to-play games, or ones that were rumoured to change to free-to-play soon.

Now another game from the list can be added to that category, as Naraka: Bladepoint will soon drop its purchase price.

As a battle royale that can host up to 60 players at once, it always felt like it should be free-to-play.

Different from games like Fortnite, Nakara focuses more on melee fights, meaning players have to get up close and personal.

Yet, even in spite of the purchase price, it has attracted 20million players since it first launched two years ago.

It originally launched on PC in 2021, before coming to Xbox consoles last year.

Nakara: Bladepoint now has a PlayStation 5 release date, and on the same day it will go free-to-play on all available platforms.

This means that the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam versions will all be available for free from next week.

The game will be making its big change on Thursday, July 13, 2023, when we expect a surge in players.

Those who have purchased the game prior to it going free-to-play will gain a number of in-game rewards.

This includes an exclusive avatar, a legendary outfit, ten glory chests, and up for 5k gold, depending on which version was purchased.

Those who join the game from PlayStation will also receive a katana skin, and two immortal treasures.

There will also be additional rewards for those who are subscribed to PlayStation Plus.
