A ONE-BED home has gone on the market for £265,000 – and house-hunters who skip a viewing might miss three very important points.
The property on the outskirts of Reading in Berkshire looks like a normal mid-terraced house from the street.

However, it’s noticeably small, measuring just three-and-a-half metres wide at the front.
And once inside, the new owner will find it only gets narrower from the front door.

The structure of the house isn’t immediately obvious.
However, floor plans on Rightmove reveal it closely resembles an imperfect isosceles triangle.
Despite the lack of space, the property is still expected to sell for a hefty fee.

Amazingly, the buyer would be able to snap up 16 houses in the UK’s cheapest street for the same price.
Homes sell for an average of £16,250 in Waterloo Walk, which lies 275 miles away in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear.
An ad for the Reading house makes no mention of its shape.
Nicholas Estate Agents say it’s an “ideal first-time buy or rental investment”.
“This one-bedroom freehold house with private garden is in central Caversham, within easy reach of local shops, Reading mainline station and the picturesque Thames sidewalks,” they add.
“This charming house boasts one double bedroom, good-sized living room, modern kitchen, bathroom and a private garden to the rear with seating area, outside storage, shed, and mature plantings.”
‘CHARMING HOUSE’
It’s not the only home with an unexpected surprise inside currently on the market.
A stunning four-bed Victorian property in Forest Hill, London is available for £1million – but it’s in a state of complete disrepair inside.
Ceilings have been torn down, exposing wooden rafters, while carpets have been ripped up and fireplaces partly destroyed.
Walls have been stripped back to the brick in some places, while a toilet and freestanding bath have been abandoned in a bedroom.
Elsewhere, a gorgeous Grade II-listed townhouse in seaside town Tenby hides a secret underground chamber and part of a 13th century castle.
