OLD McDonald’s Happy Meal toys could be worth hundreds as merch has sold for as much as £495 on Ebay.

Fast-food lovers are urged to check their cupboards as they could get extra cash for their old toys.

While the giant restaurant chain has hiked meal prices, the value of the beloved Happy meal toys has skyrocketed too.

People have been spotted cashing in on popular collectable toys included with the famous meal box.

Cheeky users are selling Mr Men figurines for whooping prices on eBay.

The toy was initially manufactured to celebrate McDonald’s 50th anniversary.

The fast-food giant filled its Happy Meal boxes with the little characters in 2021.

Three years later, the complete collection is being sold on eBay for an eye-watering £495.

A listing on the selling website shows the items in their original boxes – including characters such as Mr Cool, Mr Happy, Mr Perfect and Mr Messy.

The sales description read: “McDonald’s Happy Meal Toys 2021 – Mr Men. Plush soft toys. Full set of 25. 50th Anniversary. Collectable BNIP. Thanks for looking.”

Another toy to be on the lookout for is the popular Treasure Planet from 2002 – which has been listed for a whopping £359.

The seller said: “McDonald’s Happy Meal toys, complete Treasure Planet set. New condition. All items are sealed in original bags, never been opened. Worldwide shipping on all items.”

Other users are selling a set of unopened TY Teenie Beanie Babies for £290 in “great condition”.

Buyers can get their hands on a set of 28 Teddy Bears wrapped in their original packaging from 1999 for £140.

McDonald’s Pokemon toys have also gained value online.

A complete set of Pokeball belt disc shooters is currently on sale for £140 – with two already sold by collectors.

Meanwhile, four “rare” Happy Meal toys from 2001 can be bought now for £149.02.

However, you don’t need to own a rare set to bag some extra cash.

Sellers have also listed job lots of McDonald’s toys for £150 – with one user selling “92 McDonald’s Happy Meal toys bundle” for hundreds.
