NINTENDO Switch owners are now able to grab an extremely rare gift that’s being given away.
It would take hours to get this in-game, but it is now very easy to grab.

From now until Thursday, August 17, 2023, Switch owners can pick up a shiny Pokémon.
In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, the base rate for a shiny Pokémon appearing in the games is 1/4096.
This means it can take hours before you find one, particularly if you are looking for a specific ‘mon.
The Shiny Grimmsnarl that is currently up for grabs, is based on Nontaro’s Thai National Championship winning ‘mon.
This was still during the Sword and Shield era, and so it has been given a Dark-Tera type.
It does come with the same moveset of Thunder Wave, Light Screen, Reflect, and Spirit Break, alongside the Prankster ability.
This ability allows Grimmsnarl to move first with the moves that don’t deal damage to the target.
This is particularly beneficial in competitive Pokémon tournaments as you can slow down the opponent or boost your defense before the opponent gets to move.

It is heavily invested in its HP and Defense so that it is better at taking hits, and comes with a Calm nature.
Spirit Break is the only damaging move on the set as Grimmsnarl typically works as a supportive Pokémon, and is also useful when using it with teams in Tera-raid battles.
Nontaro’s Grimmsnarl comes in a Cherish Ball, and is holding Light Clay, which will extend the turns that Reflect and Light Screen are active.
If you want to grab your own Shiny Grimmsnarl, you can do so via Pokémon Scarlet and Violet’s Mystery Gift function.
Navigate to Mystery Gift via the Poké Portal, and then select to redeem via a code.
Input the code THA12022CHAMP and your Grimmsnarl should be ready to download.
There is also a Dark-Tera type Charizard up for grabs at the moment, if you want even more free ‘mons.
