NINTENDO has just launched a new batch of content available to Switch players for free.
The new pack is for not only the most popular Mario game, but the most popular game on the Nintendo Switch.
Now available on the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service, the new content pack is free to subscribers of the service.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe regularly has new content drops and the Wave 5 content pack is now here.
It adds three new characters to the game, which are playable across all tracks.
Kamek is a wizard Koopa riding a broomstick who made their first appearance in Yoshi’s Island.
Petey Piranha was most prominently featured in Mario Sunshine, but Piranha plants have long been a staple of the series.
The final new character is Wiggler, a long enemy that was first featured in Super Mario World.
This is the biggest number of characters that have been added to Mario Kart 8 with any single wave expansion.
As is usual with Mario Kart 8 waves, there are eight new tracks that have been added.

The Cherry Cup comes with Los Angeles Laps and Vancouver Velocity from Mario Kart Tour.
It also contains Sunset Wilds from Mario Kart Super Circuit for the Game Boy Advance, and Koopa Cape from Mario Kart Wii.
The other cup is the Feather Cup which also comes with four tracks new to Mario Kart 8.
This includes Athens Drift from Mario Kart Tour, Daisy Cruiser from Mario Kart Double Dash for the GameCube, and Koopa Cape from Mario Kart Wii.
There is also one new track to the Mario Kart series, Squeaky Clean Sprint is a completely new track which takes place in a toilet.
All of this content is available now to Expansion Pack subscribers who own Mario Kart 8 Deluxe at no additional cost.
Non-subscribers can access the current and previous waves of additional content by purchasing the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass for £22.49.
