The sweet treat comes with a recommended retail price (RRP) of 70p and is made up of crispy wafer topped with hazelnut spread and wrapped in milk chocolate.

Bear in mind you may pay more than 70p for the snack as the RRP is just what Nestle is suggesting stores sell it for.

The chocolate bar has been on sale since August 1 at Tesco, McColls, Co-op, OneStop and SPAR.

Shoppers have been taking to social media since the chocolate bar’s launch – and they’re buzzing about its return.

A third shopper said: “Need some of these!”

Meanwhile, a fourth shopper simply said: “OMG”

Anyone looking to nab one of the Hazelnut KitKats will need to be quick – it’s only back for a limited time and there’s limited stock.

A company spokesperson said it expects stock to last for around three months.

It’s the first time the chocolate bar has been on sale in three years, when it was only available at a few limited independent retailers.

It’s not the only discontinued favourite to make a return to shelves in recent months either.

Foodies were left floored after McVities revealed white chocolate digestives were heading back to shelves in July.

One shopper said: “Love these biscuits,” while another added: “I need these!!!”

Meanwhile, Muller delighted shoppers last month when it launched the Muller Corner Mississippi Mud Pie yoghurt in Asda stores.

Pizza Hut recently announced the return of two discontinued menu items after nearly a decade as well.

And McDonald’s recently announced the return of an iconic freebie and fans were going wild.

The KitKat chunky range first launched in 1999 and has included a number of flavours including salted caramel popcorn, cookie dough, coconut, chocolate fudge and New York cheesecake.
