Naveen Shekharappa Indian Student Killed In Ukraine: Age, wiki

Naveen Shekharappa was unfortunately killed in a missile strike in Kharkiv.

According to sources, the young student was standing in a queue to get food near the Governor’s House in Kharkiv.

He was shot to death by the Russian armies around 10:30 am Ukrainian time.

The sad news of his demise was confirmed by the spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs, Arindam Bagchi on his Twitter handle.

He wrote: “With profound sorrow, we confirm that an Indian student lost his life in shelling in Kharkiv this morning. The Ministry is in touch with his family.”

As confirmed by the MEA, Shekharappa’s body has been kept in a morgue in Kharkiv. His funeral arrangements have yet to be finalized.

Naveen Shekharappa Gyanagoudar was a student at the Kharkiv National Medical University. He was in his fourth year as a medical scholar.

Gyanagoudar is originally from the Chalagere village in Karnataka Karnataka, India.

According to his friends, he was living inside a bunker,in his flat in Kharkiv during the crisis. During the incident, he had gone out to buy food.

One of his hostel friends had received a call from Naveen’s mobile. Some Ukrainians had notified that he was taken to a morgue after the blast.

Naveen Shekharappa has died at the age of 20 following a shootout in Kharkiv.

The identification card of the Indian student shows that he was born in Chalageri, Karnataka.

Many people in India have prayed for Naveen Shekharappa’s parents and family members since his death.

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai also reached out to Naveen’s father, Shekargouda.

He offered his condolences to the family stating: “This is a tragedy. We are coordinating with MEA officials. We are making all efforts to bring back his body. You need to be brave,”

Thousands of Indian students in Ukraine have been trapped during the crisis. They have been requesting safe evacuation for many days.
