Meanwhile “new and improved” recipes have been launched for all of its burgers and pitta, plus there are two new salads to choose from.

The new plant-based Rainbow bowl comes with spiced grains, broccoli, houmous and crunchy slaw, and costs £8.95.

A new vegetarian Quinoa and Feta Salad has also been launched, and it comes with pitta bread croutons – with a price tag of £7.75.

It costs an extra £3.20 to add new Peri-Plant strips, which are plant-based meat alternatives, to your salad.

What’s on the new Nando’s reopening menu?

New main meals:

  • Rainbow Bowl: including spiced grains, crunchy slaw, long-stem broccoli, pickled golden carrot, houmous and seeds. Cost: £8.95.
  • Quinoa and Feta Salad: including lettuce, semi-dried peri-tomatoes, pitta croutons and lemon and wild garlic dressing. Cost: £7.75

New sides: £2.95 for regular and £5 for large:

  • Rainbow Slaw – a new side including veg in a tangy mustard dressing topped with seeds.
  • Spiced Grains and Butternut Squash – a new side which also includes green beans, dried fruit and feta

New sauces:

  • Peri Ketchup
  • Lemon & Herb Mayo

Two new sides have been launched as well, including the Rainbow Slaw.

It’s made from veg in a tangy mustard dressing topped with seeds, and will cost you £2.95, or £5 for a large.

The new Spiced Grains and Butternut Squash side with green beans, dried fruit and feta costs the same price.

All burgers will now come with two new sauces: Lemon & Herb Mayo and Peri Ketchup, but you can choose to include these new sauces as dips with any meal you want for 60p extra.

Pittas will now also come with the new Lemon & Herb Mayo.

There’s also a new spice – Garlic BBQ – which has been added to the menu for chicken fans to choose from.

It will replace the XX Hot spice, which you can no longer choose to season your meal with.

Customers will also be able to choose from four new wines in selected restaurants: Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabinet Sauvignon and Rose.

If you want to try the new Nando’s meals at your local branch, then you can check out where your nearest restaurant is on the chicken chain’s website.

But the new menu will be available a little earlier from May 11 for deliveries, takeaways and click and collect meals.

It comes as pubs and restaurants are set to reopen for indoor dining from next Monday as Britain enters the third stage of Boris Johnson’s roadmap out of lockdown.

Other businesses, such as cinemas, hotels and sports stadiums, will also welcome back customers too.

Family and friends WILL also be allowed to hug from May 17 as lockdown is eased.

Plus, Brits will be able to meet their loved ones inside their homes again.

Meanwhile, working from home measures will remain in place until at least June.
