A MAN said his wife had a crazy dream which didn’t make sense before they got mind-blowing news about a £15.5million jackpot.

Tom and Rita Naylor scooped the whopping jackpot back in 2001 after a lucky prophecy came true.

Even before hitting the big time, confident Tom said he would tell all of his friends, “When I win, not if I win, I’ll win big”.

And Tom certainly stayed true to his word as he went on to win the £15.5million.

The lucky punter also claimed his wife received a sign before landing the life-changing prize, and said: “My wife dreamt that she was being chased by a giant lottery ball, number 14.

“We went on to win on the 14th of November.”

To celebrate scooping the golden ticket, Tom purchased a car for each day of the week.

It comes as National Lottery revealed that over half of their winners believed they received a “sign” before they won.

While over a fifth (22%) of millionaires believe their fortune was all down to a “lucky charm”.

Last year, Ian Black from Carlisle nearly diverted from his usual routine on his way home from work due to road works.

Something made him continue and, as he was buying his paper, a National Lottery Scratchcard caught his eye.

Ian said: “Something was telling me to buy it. When I sat and scratched it, I just could not believe what I was seeing. I let out a scream and immediately drove home.

“As I went into the house I was shouting to my wife, Sandra, to come down the stairs. I told her ‘we have won £2M!’”

And John Edmond from Edinburgh, who won £1M back in 2015, was given a lucky piece of coal which changed his fortune forever.

John said: “My grandad used to have a piece of coal he said was lucky – he used it as a paper weight for his lottery tickets before he passed away.

“He gave it to me and said it might bring me luck, which it did!”

Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, said, “It’s amazing how many new millionaires tell me they always knew they were going to win big! I’ve heard it all – from lucky stray cats, to being tipped off in a dream!

“With 100 millionaires guaranteed to be made across Europe this Friday, my team are looking forward to hearing more amazing stories behind the wealth of new UK millionaires. Good luck and be sure to get your tickets early!”

This Friday, a special EuroMillions draw will see multiple £1M prizes up for grabs.

In the draw, there will be 100 guaranteed winners across Europe, each becoming a millionaire.

On the continent, winners will bank €1M, while in the UK, winners will see their prize topped up to £1M.

For every EuroMillions line played, UK players automatically receive a EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker code printed on their ticket.

On Friday, this code will be entered into both the UK Millionaire Maker raffle and the special European Millionaire Maker raffle, meaning there are multiple chances for UK players to become a millionaire.
