A SAVVY shopper has revealed the clever trick she used to get a free tub of chocolates from Morrisons this week. 

The shopper who is with Vodafone revealed the phone provider offers their customers rewards through their app.

Some Vodafone customers have received a £5 voucher this week that they can use to spend on anything in supermarket retailer Morrisons

The savvy shopper took to Facebook to reveal the bargain she nabbed in-store through the deal. 

In the Extreme Couponing And Bargains UK group, she revealed she used to hack to nab a free tub of Christmas chocolates. 

She said: “Free tub of Christmas chocolate on the Vodafone rewards app with Morrisons.”

The savvy shopper also revealed customers who have the Morrisons More card can get either a Celebrations or Quality Street tubs for £1 cheaper than the retail price. 

She said: You can get a £5 voucher but they are £4 with your More card, so I grabbed a shower gel too as technically you can use the voucher on anything.”

“Figures I’d get some chocolate stashed and my partner got some too so that’s us.”

The post racked up over 120 impressions with dozens of shoppers tagging fellow group members to see if they could get the deal.

One user said: “Basically you can use it on anything even petrol.”

Another said: “Think this is for those on mobile and home internet.”

“Used mine this morning – tub of Roses and a bar of chocolate,” said a third.

If you are with Vodaphone is worth checking on the Vodafone app to see what deals you have available.

Quite often the deals are tailored and different for each many shoppers on Facebook commented that they had received a similar reward on the app but at Sainsbury’s

One user said: “I got free chocolate from Sainsbury’s.”

Another said: “I’ve got a £2 treat from Sainsbury’s.”

It’s worth checking what deals your phone provider offers regularly, you could get money off electronics meals out, groceries, and even football games. 

Each phone provider has their own rewards schemes so make sure you check out what deals your provider is offering. 

The Morrisons More card was brought back earlier this year. Shoppers with the card will earn £5 to spend at Morrisons for every 5,000 points they accumulate.

The My Morrisons App can be downloaded from the Android or Apple stores. 

You can register for a digital or physical card by signing up on the app.

Customers can also register online at www.mymorrisons.com 

If you have the Morrisons More Card you can still get a Celebrations or Quality Street tub regardless of whether or not you are with Vodafone. 

However, this promotion ends on 24 December so you will need to at quickly.
