WE’VE all missed lying by the pool or sipping cocktails from a bar in the Mediterranean – but one fun-loving family decided to bring their own slice of paradise to the UK.
A three-bedroom property in North Wales was transformed and now has an outdoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi and private bar.
The Grade II building in Glan Conwy, Colwyn Bay was built in 1812 for a local sea captain.
It has original features like sash windows and a reversed lock door which were installed at the time to stop the devil from passing through.
Despite the spacious rooms and quirky touches like stained glass windows, the garden is the main attraction for this property.
Those wanting to enjoy the great British summer can splash around in the 18 foot circular heated swimming pool, or relax in the sauna room.
After a dip, new owners could treat themselves to their favourite tipple at the bar before sitting around a fire pit.
With a large hand-made sign that reads: “chill”, the curved bench that surrounds the fire pit has alcoves to store fire wood.
PARADISE
Fletcher and Poole said: “Whether relaxing or entertaining the rear of Plas Tirion is exceptional and would be the centrepiece of any fantastic home, to simply call it a garden would not do it justice.”
The entertainment isn’t just provided outside, the house also comes with its own cinema room in the basement.
Films can be watched in Surround Sound on a projection screen.
The house looks over stretches of the Great Orme, Deganwy, Conwy Castle, the Estuary and across the Carneddau Mountains.
The Georgian family home has an entrance hallway, lounge, kitchen, dining room, shower room, three double bedrooms and family bathroom.
The master suite has a dressing area and an en suite shower room.
The house has a double garage, which is currently being used as a gym – so if the next owners happened to be fitness fanatics, they’ve already got a spot for the gym equipment.
