The changes all directly affect the sports channels on people’s Sky satellite, Sky Glass and Stream devices both in the UK and Republic of Ireland.

Sky is reshuffling their channels and moving around the numbers that many viewers use to find exactly what they want to watch – meaning millions of us could get confused.

The changes are set to happen in multiple stages across six days between Thursday February, 8, and Tuesday February, 13.

The main reason for the shifting channels is due to the introduction of Sky Sports Tennis.

Sky Sports Tennis is launching on February, 11, and will see more tennis broadcast than anywhere else by Sky Sports.

They say more than 4,000 matches from 80 tournaments on the ATP and WTA Tours will be shown a year.

And that is in addition to their exclusive live coverage of the US Open.

Sky will also take over channel 412 in the UK after it was vacated by Viaplay Sports 1 in January as they look to sell the Viaplay channels back to Premier Sports.

For regular Sky customers in the UK, Sky Sports Arena will change from channel 408 to 412 on Friday.

In the Republic of Ireland, Arena will go to channel 416 as Mix changes to 425.

Then on Sunday, Sky Sports Tennis will be activated on all Sky Satellite TVs and go straight to channel 408.

However, this change is only temporarily as the tennis will then move to 407 as the NFL/Action channel drops to 408 after the Super Bowl coverage ends on Tuesday.
