THANKS to the world of tie-ins and crossovers, older games are thrown back into the limelight.
That is exactly what has happened with Fallout, as many games from the series have launched to the top of the charts thanks to the popularity of the TV show.
We’ve seen Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Fallout 4 and even Fallout 76 top charts in different countries, as people want to experience more of the world after they finish the show.
Developer Bethesda has caught on to the trend, and wants to thank fans for their renewed interest in the series.
To celebrate Fallout’s new success, Bethesda is giving out a free update to everyone who owns Fallout 4 no matter the console.
Originally released for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, Fallout 4 can be played on modern consoles through backwards compatibility but it is currently not optimised for the latest platforms.
