It’s free, so if you haven’t already, download the update now to reap the benefits.

To save you time, TikToker Steven Lim has revealed five of the best new features worth checking out.

Finally, you can use Face ID while its in landscape mode.

So, if you accidentally lock your phone while watching a YouTube video for example, no need to faff around, you can keep your device in the same position its in.

New iMessage features

iMessage has received some useful updates too.

Among the new options is the ability to mark messages as read or unread.

Just tap and hold the message you want to do this on and it’ll appear.

The other great addition is the ability to bring back conversations if you accidentally delete one.

Just tap the Edit button in the top left hand corner, followed by Show Recently Deleted.

Here you’ll see a list of conversations you can recover – you have up to 30 days to bring them back.

Copy text from video

You may have already tried the really useful copy text from image trick.

Well, now Apple has brought it across to video as well.

Just pause the video at the point you wish to copy text from.

And tap and hold over the area of text you want.

An option to copy or select all will appear.

Extract pictures

Apple has also added some clever tricks to its photo tech as well.

Now you can easily select elements from a picture and pull it out to send separately.

For example, if you want to pull a flower out of a scene so it stands alone, this feature will do the trick.

Simply tap and hold on the thing you want to remove and you’ll see a shimmer glow effect pulse from it when it’s done.

Keep hold of it and drag it to another app where you can send it on.

New look weather app

Apple’s own weather app has had a bit of a revamp too.

The app not only has a fresh look but it can send severe weather notifications as well.

iPhone 14 specs and features

The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro come with 6.1-inch displays but the Plus and Pro Max models are upped to 6.7-inches.

There are five colours to choose from, including Midnight, Starlight, Blue, Purple, and Red.

Apple has kept last year’s A15 chip to power the iPhone 14 and 14 Plus, while the Pro range is upgraded to a mightier new A16 chip.

Apple has also upgraded its cameras, claiming that the iPhone 14 can achieve better results in challenging lighting environments, offering 49 per cent better low-light image capture.

There’s a larger sensor and faster focus, with an f/1.5 aperture.
