WHATSAPP users on iPhone can finally take advantage of a great new feature whenever someone video calls you.

And it’ll be a welcome move for multitaskers.

The hugely popular messaging app has finally added the ability to do something else on your phone while the call is ongoing.

And it won’t pause the live video either.

It’s known officially as Picture in Picture (PiP) mode.

FaceTime already has it.

WhatsApp users are just realising a special trick to save you from embarrassment
WhatsApp is making a huge change to voice notes - but there's a catch

When you’re in a video call, a button will allow you to turn visuals into a small window, meaning you can go about doing other stuff in WhatsApp or elsewhere on your phone.

So if you’re looking for some information to tell your mate during a session you can.

Equally, it could be useful if someone is taking a bit too long in a call and you want to sneakily do something else at the same time.

The feature has finally arrived on iOS so iPhone users can take advantage.

Owner Meta said that it was working on launching the feature in an announcement in December.

It’ll roll out to everyone in the next couple of weeks.

But that’s not the only trick WhatsApp has up its sleeve.

The latest version of the app now allows you to add captions when sending documents.

It’s also possible to add a much longer group subject and description.

And personalised avatars have landed too, which can be used as stickers and profile photos.

Just go to Settings and find Avatar to set yours up.
