APPLE’S smart assistant Siri has a few new tricks up their sleeves.

The voice controlled virtual assistant, installed in all Apple devices, can perform a number of hilarious tasks – like conducting Harry Potter spells.

But Apple has taught Siri how to make your iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch experience even more hands-free.

Siri can now convert text into emojis.

This new, and quite random feature, helps perk up hands-free text messaging while driving.

However, you need an iPhone XS or later and at least iOS 16 for these Siri skills to work.

All you have to do is dictate your text aloud, as you’d normally do with Siri.

And when you want to add an emoji, just say the emoji name followed by the word “emoji.”

For example: “Hiya. Traffic is bad. I’m going to be 15 minutes late for dinner. *crying face emoji* Sorry. See you soon.”

Apple’s iOS 16, first introduced in June last year, also lets Siri perform another new skill.

You can now train Siri to send text messages automatically.

It means you won’t have to manually confirm that you want the message to go through.

To set this up, head to Settings > Siri & Search > Automatically Send Messages.

From there, you can choose where to have messages sent with Siri automatically.

You can mix and match three options: CarPlay, headphones, and hearing devices.

You can now also get Siri to restart your iPhone.

Previously, iPhone users had to hold a combination of buttons or dig through Settings to restart the device.

While those methods still work, iPhone users can tell Siri to “restart iPhone” and the virtual assistant will get the job done – as long as your phone is unlocked.
